Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Oven fire in Dunkirk kitchen
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a small fire in the oven of a home in Courtenay Road in Dunkirk between Canterbury and Faversham. Crews used a hose reel jet and a dry powder extinguisher to put out the fire. There were no reported injuries. Firefighters helped the occupants of the property by giving home fire safety information and they also carried out a free Safe and Well Visit.
