Crash rescue on A2 near Dover
Incident details
Emergency services attended an incident on the London-bound carriageway of the A2 at Guston, Dover, involving a car that had collided with rear of a lorry in a layby close to the Duke of York roundabout. Crews worked with SECAmb to help release a man from the car that had become trapped under the trailer of the lorry. Firefighters used a winch to remove the car and heavy rescue equipment to access the man, who was released and passed into the care of SECAmb. The road was closed in both directions while this incident was dealt with.
