Incident
Happy ending for pony in Higham
Incident details
A concerned member of the public contacted Kent Fire and Rescue Service's emergency control centre just before 8.15am, reporting a pony stuck in a mud filled ditch in Higham.

Fire crews responded including the specialist animal rescue team from Faversham and used strops and slings to rescue the small pony to the safety of the bank. After being assessed by a vet and the RSPCA, the horse was adopted by a local farmer.
