Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Fire at industrial unit in Deal
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Southwall Industrial Estate in Deal to tackle a fire inside a building used as a car workshop. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet, main jet and foam jet to extinguish the flames. They also used a pressure fan to clear the smoke. Crews made the area safe. The cause of the fire isn’t known at this stage.
