Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Incident
Trees, shrubs and undergrowth alight - Dover
Incident details
Firefighters were called to reports of trees, bushes and scrubland alight near Elms Vale Road in Dover. The area affected is thought to be around five acres (around the size of three football pitches). 
 
Crews used a variety of equipment designed to prevent the spread of fire in these conditions, including a fire-fogging unit which creates a vapour mist to smother and extinguish flames. 
 
There are no reports of any injuries and the cause is not known.
