Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Small fire on passenger train - Greenhithe near Dartford
Incident details
Fire crews were called to Greenhithe train station near Dartford to reports of an electrical burning smell onboard a train which had stopped at the station. 
 
Working with National Rail and train company staff, firefighters were able to identify and extinguish a small fire in an electrical compartment. 
 
All passengers were safely evacuated from the train and there are no reports of any injuries.
