Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Grill fire in Iwade
Incident details
Firefighters responded to a fire in a grill in Kingfisher Close, Iwade, which started accidentally after the grill was left on after it had been used. 
 
Crews in breathing apparatus used a hose reel to put the fire out and a special fan to clear smoke. 
 
A gas cooker and hob were damaged by fire and there was smoke damage to the  kitchen and the rest of the house. 
 
Crews had left the property by 10.30am.
