Serious flat fire in Gravesend
Incident details
Update from Kent Police on  15/05/18: 
 
Kent Police was called to a report that a property was on fire in Parrock Street, Gravesend, at 7.03pm on Sunday 13 May. 
Officers attended and provided support to crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the South East Coast Ambulance Service. 
A man in his 50s was pronounced deceased at the scene and the circumstances are not being treated as suspicious. 
A report will be prepared for the coroner.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a serious flat fire in Parrock Street, Gravesend. Three fire engines attended. Crews evacuated all four flats within the block, and wearing breathing apparatus, they extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet. A high pressure fan was used to clear the building of smoke. The cause of the fire is not yet known and Parrock Street remains closed at this time.
