Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Margate flat fire
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to a fire in a first floor flat in Millmead Road, Margate, shortly after 7pm. 
 
Fire crews fought the fire externally through a window and were quickly able to bring it under control before going into the flat wearing breathing apparatus. They used a positive pressure ventilation fan to blow smoke out of the property. 
 
There were no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
