Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Barn alight near Maidstone
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to an agricultural barn fire in Pye Corner, Ulcombe near Maidstone. Five fire engines and a bulk water carrier attended. Crews used two main jets, a hose reel jet and water from a hydrant to extinguish the blaze. Foam and a covering jet was used to protect nearby buildings. There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
