Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Crews tackle field fire in Shorne
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in a field in Thong Lane, Shorne near Gravesend. Firefighters used hose reel jets and beaters to extinguish the fire. Approximately 200 square metres of stubble was destroyed by fire. Crews worked with the farmer who used a tractor to create a fire break around edge of field. The cause isn't known and there were no injuries
