Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Kitchen fire in Tunbridge Wells
Incident details
Firefighters were called to a fire in the kitchen of two storey property in Sandhurst Road in Tunbridge wells. There were no injuries but Kent Fire and Rescue Service's Volunteer Response Team were called to help the occupants with emotional and welfare support. Crews used a hose reel jet and a large ventilation fan to extinguish the fire and clear the smoke logged kitchen which suffered extensive damage. The cause of the fire isn't known at this stage.
