Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

House fire in Rochester
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a house fire in Woodstock Road, Rochester. Two fire engines attended and the occupants were outside on arrival. The house was filled with smoke and firefighters located the fire in the downstairs toilet. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, and a high pressure fan to clear the building of smoke. There were no reported injuries and the fire is believed to have started in a small water heater.
