Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Chimney fire - Chestfield
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a chimney fire at a bungalow in Old Fold. Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire in the chimney breast. Crews used a PPV to ventilate the property. The fire was accidental and it is believed to have started due to an unswept chimney. Crews fitted two smoke alarms in the property.
