Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Single car crash on M20
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a single car crash on the M20 between junctions 8 and 9 on the London bound carriageway. On arrival crews found a car that had left the motorway and ended up in a wooded area of the embankment. The female driver was suffering from head, leg and spine injuries. Fire crews administered first aid and worked with paramedics. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof and to safely free the trapped driver. Care of the driver was handed over to paramedics. Crews made the area safe.
