Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Abandoned pub fire - Strood
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in an abandoned pub on Canal Road, Strood. Crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the building to tackle the fire on the first floor and roof void. This was followed by the implementation of coldcut firefighting system, which allows firefighters to supress fires within void spaces. After a thorough search of the building it was confirmed that all persons were accounted for. Upon the fire being extinguished the duty of care was left with the police.
