Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Firefighters tackle fire in wood chip hopper at industrial unit in Iwade
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire at an incinerator plant at Ridham Dock in Iwade. On arrival crews were faced with a fire in a wood chip hopper on a second floor mezzanine of the building. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
