Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service on a regular basis.

Large crop field fire - Edenbridge
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was at the scene of a large crop field fire in Pootings Road, Crockham Hill near Edenbridge. Crews used hose reel jets, flexi-packs and beaters to tackle the standing crop fire that measures around 50 acres, the size of around 29 football pitches at its peak. Firefighters made good progress putting out the fire. Crews used the all terrain vehicle to access areas and fire fogging unit to damp down hot spots.
