Restaurant fire in Wye
Incident details
UPDATE: 4.30pm 
The fire involving a restaurant in High Street, Wye has been brought under control and crews remain on the scene using a height vehicle to put out remaining hotspots. 
Swift actions by crews on the scene using a cold-cutting fire-fighting system significantly reduced the extent of the blaze, preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent commercial buildings. 
The kitchen of the restaurant has been severely damaged by fire and one of the flats above the premises and the roof of the property were also fire damaged. 
Crews are carrying out salvage operations, helping to retrieve personal items from the two flats above the restaurant. 
There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is not yet known. 
Firefighters are currently dealing with a well-developed fire at a two-storey property used as a restaurant in High Street, Wye. Six fire engines are currently in attendance. Updates to follow.
