Children across the county have been helping Kent firefighters spread festive cheer and the importance of family safety at Christmas.
Preparations are in full swing for the big day, and at this time of year family safety can be easily overlooked.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) Community Safety Manager, Charlie Smith said: “Having fun with family and friends at Christmas is at the top of most of our festive lists, but safety should be too. Simple things can have risks like Christmas tree lights being left on overnight or when you go out and lit candles left close to decorations or wrapping paper. There is lots of extra fuel to burn in the form of wrapping paper, decorations and cards at this time of year.”
He added: “We want to ensure this Christmas is a safe and happy one, the kids in our video are asking people to keep home safety a priority. Common sense and a working smoke alarm is a must have for every home. It might not be the most festive of gifts but could be exactly what someone on your Christmas list needs and it might just save their life."
