Free safe and well visit - have you had yours yet?

If you are an older person or have mobility problems it could mean you're at greater risk if a fire breaks out in your home.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service can help keep you safe with a free safe and well visit .  If you don't need this service yourself, you can refer a relative, friend or client to us, too. We offer a free visit to anyone aged 70 and over , anyone living with dementia , people with long term health conditions , people with young children, pregnant women and smokers who need extra support.

Contact our friendly home safety team to book your visit now:

On 0800 923 7000 or email us or find out more here, and fill out a form online - we'll then be in touch to explain how a free safe and well visit can help.

Smoke alarms save lives

We want to make sure all homes in Kent and Medway have working smoke alarms - it's the best protection you can have against fire. That's why we offer free safety advice and services to everyone.

Protecting your home and your loved ones

There is a lot you can do to keep yourself (and your loved ones) safe. Depending on your lifestyle and where you live, you may be at greater risk than others, so make sure you're aware of the dangers.

Babies, children and older people are most at risk if a fire breaks out in their home, as their bodies are even less able to cope. Our video, presented by Kent firefighter and mum, Nicki Escudier, gives some simple tips on protecting your home and your loved ones.
