Hot Shots - Young filmmakers competition
Rules
Each entry can be completed and entered by either: single individuals, a group, or by a non-profit organisation.
Although entrants may be supervised by persons older, and films can feature people of any age, all entrants making the films (including all those in a group) must be between 15 and 21 years of age on 31 May 2013.
Closing date for entries is 31 May 2013.
Films must have a run time of 3 minutes or less.
Films must highlight the themes of either: road crashes, fires, hoax calls or water safety, but can take any format or style that the entrant wishes.
By submitting your entry you agree KFRS may use or broadcast all or parts of your film to promote its safety objectives.
Entrants permit KFRS to edit or change entries in any way considered necessary for the purposes of later use. Or, with the involvement of the entrants, to professionally remake the film at a later date.
It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure all individuals featured in their film have given consent to their inclusion and are fully aware of the competition’s purposes.
This competition has been devised to help reduce the number of incidents and to help keep people safe therefore you must not do anything inherently dangerous or illegal whilst making your film. If the organisers think that you have done so, your entry will be disqualified from the competition.
Disclaimers
KFRS Youth Film Competition (“the Competition”) is organised by the Kent Fire and Rescue Service (“KFRS”).
The decisions of the judges are final. Neither correspondence nor discussion concerning any decision shall be entered into.
No entries will be returned and shall become the property of KFRS. It is therefore advisable for each Entrant to retain a copy where appropriate.
Entrants must submit only their own original work and agree that this will not infringe the copyright or any other rights of any third party.
The description of the prizes in any competition literature or other medium is not binding and may be varied by KFRS and KFRS may make additional awards or prizes but it shall not be obliged to make any award or prize if it considers it inappropriate to do so.
Competition entry is at entrants’ own risk. KFRS accepts no responsibility or liability in this regard and shall not be liable to reimburse any expenses incurred in making an entry.
If a winning entrant is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so KFRS reserves the right to either offer the prize to the next best entry, or to re-offer the prize in any future competition.
KFRS will award all prizes to the contact person on the entry form and is not responsible or liable for the distribution or prizes beyond this point.
This competition is not open to KFRS employees, their family, or members of their household.
Acceptance of these rules is a condition of entry and receipt of an entry by KFRS amounts to acceptance of the rules.
