Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Incident
Three people rescued from road crash - Maidstone
Incident details
Fire crews rescued three people who had become trapped by their injuries following a crash involving two vehicles, one of which had hit a wall in Sutton Road, Maidstone. 
 
All three casualties, one male and one female believed to be in their 50s, and a female believed to be in her 70s were in one vehicle. Firefighters stabilised the vehicle, then used hydraulic cutting equipment to create space for paramedics to assess and treat the casualties. 
 
Crews then assisted paramedics in moving the casualties to waiting ambulances for transport to hospital.
