Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Fire in flat - Ramsgate
Incident details
Crews were called to reports of a smoke detector which had raised the alarm to a fire in a flat in Finsbury Road, Ramsgate. Firefighters rescued an elderly lady who was suffering from smoke inhalation. They used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to deal with a small fire in the flat that was believed to have been caused by smoking materials. The resident was taken to hospital by ambulance.
