Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Fire in flat - Rainham
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in a flat in Taswell Road. On arrival crews found a ground floor flat alight. They used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. Firefighters also assisted in helping an elderly resident to safety from the flat above. An investigation into the fire will be carried out.
