Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

House fire - Rochester
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a house fire in Maidstone Road. Crews used breathing apparatus, main jet, hose reel jet and height vehicle to tackle the fire in the roof space of a semi-detached property. The homeowner raised the alarm and escaped with family safely. Kent Police were also in attendance for traffic control. A Red Cross Vehicle was also in attendance to provide practical and emotional support to the residents. An investigation was carried out and it is believed to have been caused by overheated electrical supply to down-light in bathroom.
