Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Car and motorbike crash on A259 - Brenzett
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a road crash between a motorbike and car on the A259 at Brenzett, just before the A2080. On arrival crews found a man in his 70s trapped in the car with leg and spinal injuries. They used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of the car to rescue the casualty. Firefighters assisted paramedics in removing the man from his vehicle on a spine board. He was then placed in the care of the paramedics. Crews also administered first aid to the motorcyclist, a male in his 50s who was suffering from life threatening injuries. He was placed in the care of paramedics. Crews made the area safe.
