Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Commercial waste / rubbish fire - Dover
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a commercial premises on Longhill, Astley Avenue, where a large amount of waste / rubbish was well alight in the yard. Crews used a mainline jet to bring the fire under control. The rubbish, measuring 10metres x 10metres was left to burn out in the control of the owner.
