Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Road crash rescue - Maidstone
Incident details
A man believed to be in his 70s was cut free from the wreckage of his car following a collision with a heavy goods vehicle in Sutton Road, Maidstone. 
 
Firefighters stabilised the vehicle and made the scene safe, allowing assessment and release of the casualty into the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics and helicopter emergency medics.
