Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

House fire - Folkestone
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a house fire in Burrow Road. On arrival crews found a well developed fire in a two storey property that had started in the stairwell and had spread upstairs. Crews used breathing apparatus, a main jet and hose reel jet to tackle the blaze. 50% of ground floor and stairs destroyed by fire, there is extensive smoke and heat damage throughout property. An investigation into the fire is due to take place.
