Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Maidstone flat fire
Incident details
Firefighters were called to a fire in a first-floor flat at a three-storey property. Crews in breathing apparatus tackled the fire using a hose reel. An ambulance was also called to the scene to attend to a man suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
