Incident
Shed destroyed by fire in Strood
Incident details
Fire crews used a hose reel to extinguish a blaze which destroyed a garden shed. The fire was caused after the resident put embers from a log burning stove into a plastic wheelie bin adjacent to shed last night. Heat the embers started a smouldering fire which also damaged the main house and a neighbouring building. The fire was out by 6.21am and crews spent a further 20 minutes damping down.
