Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Fire on Dartford Heath
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a grass fire on Dartford Heath. Three fire engines were sent to the scene to tackle the fire, which had spread to around 200 square metres of heathland. Crews used beaters and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The cause of fire is unknown. 
 
Firefighters are urging anyone who spots a fire in the countryside to report it as soon as possible, giving as much detail on the location so that it can be dealt with before it spreads.
