Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Single car crash on M20 - Near Ashford
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a car crash on the M20 on the London bound carriageway between junctions 11 and 10. On arrival crews found a man trapped in his car that had left the motorway and crashed into a lamp post and fence. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of the car to free the trapped man, who is in his late 50s. He was placed in the care of paramedics. Crews made the scene safe.
