Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Boat alight at boat yard
Incident details
Firefighters were called to a fire on a boat in dry dock at a boat yard in Main Gate Road, Chatham. Three fire appliances were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus are using a main covering jet, a hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan to tackle the fire. The cause is not yet known and there are no reported injuries.
