Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Vehicle fire at industrial site in Kemsley
Incident details
Firefighters attended a fire involving a loading vehicle that had stread to a large quantity of waste paper outside a factory in Ridham Avenue, Kemsley, Sittingbourne. Crews worked with onsite staff to extinguish the vehicle fire and put of the waste paper fire, using 2 jets, a ground monitor and 3 onsite hydrants. There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
