Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Barn fire near Canterbury
Incident details
Fire crews have been dealing with a fire at an agricultural barn overnight in North Stream Marshside, near Canterbury. Six fire engines, a height vehicle and a bulk water carrier attended the scene. Crews tackled the fire using 4 hose reel jets, compressed air foam and water drawn from a nearby pond by a light portable pump. Attendance was reduced to 3 fire engines at 2.13am and then to one fire engine at around 5.30am. There were no casualties and the cause is not yet known.
