Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

House fire - Folkestone
Incident details
A man has been treated for the effects of breathing in smoke following a fire in a property on Marshall Street, Folkestone. 
 
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire on the ground floor using a high-pressure hose reel jet. Smoke and fumes were then driven from the property with a positive pressure ventilation fan. 
 
The occupier was passed to the care of paramedics for transport to hospital. The cause of the fire is not known.
