Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Man cut free after crash - Sandwich
Incident details
Firefighters were called to reports of a vehicle that had left the A256 Eastry Bypass near Sandwich and is thought to have rolled, ending up back on its wheels. 
 
One person was trapped in the vehicle. Crews worked with paramedics to plan the safest way to remove the casualty from the vehicle, creating space with hydraulic rescue equipment. A door was removed from the vehicle and the casualty was passed to the care of the ambulance service.
