Kitchen fire in Halstead
Incident details
Firefighters were called to a fire in the ground floor kitchen of a two-storey detached house in Stonehouse Lane, Halstead. Crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the smoke-logged property and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. Two elderly occupants were treated for smoke inhalation and passed into the care of SECAmb. The cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental.
