Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Kitchen fire in Ramsgate
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a kitchen fire in Vine Close, Ramsgate, where a chip pan was alight. The occupants were outside the property when firefighters arrived, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire before using a high pressure fan to clear the house of smoke. A woman suffering with smoke inhalation was taken to hospital by SECAmb paramedics.
