Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Update: Crash in Appledore

Following a crash involving a minibus and a car, the B2080 is going to be closed between the Appledore Road and School Road junction to Reading Street, for several hours for a crash investigation to be completed. One woman was freed from the car and taken to hospital by air ambulance and a man was taken to hospital by ambulance. 
 
Firefighters were called to assist at the scene of a crash involving a car and a minibus on the B2080 in Appledore, near Ashford. Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to free a woman from the car, which had ended up in a dry ditch. The casualty was removed from the vehicle and passed in to the care of SECAmb and air ambulance paramedics. The road was closed by Kent Police.
