Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Motorist stranded in water filled ditch
Incident details
Kent Fire and Recue Service was called to assist a man that was stranded in car a flooded road-side ditch in Boarley Lane, Sandling, near Maidstone. A fire control officer stayed on the line, giving the motorist advice about leaving vehicle as it became flooded with water. Crews then led the man to safety. Kent Police also attended the incident and closed the road.
