Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Bedroom fire in Margate
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service is responding to a bedroom fire in a five storey building in Royal Crescent, Margate. Five fire engines and height vehicle are on the scene, and crews wearing breathing apparatus are tackling the fire in a bedroom on the third floor, using a hose reel jet and a main jet. A high pressure fan is being used to clear the building of smoke. There are no reported casualties and the cause is not yet known.
