Incident
Fire in Gravesend flat
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service dealt with a fire in a flat on the third floor of the nine storey Gravesham Court in Clarence Row, Gravesend. Due to the height of the building a full response for a building of six storeys or more was mobilised to the incident. Six fire engines and a height vehicle with 35 fire fighters were dispatched to the scene. All occupants were located and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire isn't known at this stage. Crews used breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the fire. They cleared the property using a large ventilation fan.
