Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Car crashes into moat of Deal Castle
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car that had crashed through fencing around Deal Castle, and falling into the moat. Crews arrived to find an elderly man in his vehicle in the moat. Working together with paramedics, the firefighters gave the man first aid, they stabilised the vehicle and cut open the roof to enable paramedics to access the man. The casualty was transferred to the ambulance. Crews made the scene safe and handed over the scene to Kent Police.
