Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Woman rescued from flat fire in Swanley
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in a ground floor flat in Lullingstone Avenue, Swanley. Two fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the flat and rescued one person inside. She was handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze which is believed to have started in the kitchen on the stove.
