Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Small fire at fish and chip shop
Incident details
Firefighters were called to a fish and chip shop in Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood following reports of smoke issuing from the property. Firefighters discovered a small fire in some trunking inside the two-storey building. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a fog spike to pierce through the trunking and put out the fire, preventing it from spreading to the building. There were no reported casualties. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
