Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Family rescued from smoke logged flat in Rochester
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Shorts Way in Rochester to reports of a fire in a block of flats. Two fire engines attended and crews rescued a family from a smoke logged flat on the first floor. They were taken to hospital by SECAmb paramedics as a precaution due to smoke inhalation. The fire was out on arrival and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
