Kent Fire and Rescue Service attends a range of incidents including fires, road crashes, flooding, rescues from height, mud or confined spaces. It also supports other agencies including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Martime and Coastguard Agency on a regular basis.

Crews tackle car fire and treat two people with first aid following three car crash near Tunbridge Wells
Incident details
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a crash involving three cars on Longfield Road near Tunbridge Wells. There were no people trapped in the vehicles, but one car was on fire and a male passenger in his early 20s needed medical attention due to being thrown from his vehicle during the crash. Firefighters gave the man first aid and treated a woman in her 50s with oxygen therapy due to her suffering from shock, both casualties received welfare and emotional support from crews before the paramedics arrived. Crews extinguished the car fire using a hose reel jet. Firefighters worked with paramedics to transfer the male casualty into the ambulance, before he was taken to hospital. Crews made the scene safe.
